Fox: Ecology & Field Sign

The Red Fox is one of the Worlds great opportunists, being a regular to many cities and urban gardens. But, how different are their habits to their country cousins, and how would you go about finding Foxes to watch or photograph in a rural location?

Join us for a day learning about the Red Fox, including its ecology, how to recognise field signs such as scat (poo), foot prints, runs, earths, and ultimately how to watch and photograph them with minimum impact. We will learn in the morning, then walk and search in the afternoon, allowing everyone to try their hand at finding Fox field signs.

We will be at one of several sites South of Gloucester, where Foxes are seen often, and if you have a camera and lens that is at least 400mm that you can hand hold (no tripods or monos) you may even get lucky enough to get some photos.

Details of the location will be provided on booking, along with further details of the timetable for the day, and what to bring with you. You will need to be comfortable and able to walk for 2-3 miles over fields and woods practicing your new found skills, and the day goes ahead in all weather!

Led by Craig Thomson, The Wildlife Nomad. Max 6 per group.

£100.00 per person.
