The Wildlife Nomad is happy to support Gloucestershire Otter watch by hosting this page and by being the founding member of the group.
GLOW is a community group set up to support the growing population of Otters across Gloucestershire. Whether that is through conducting surveys of waterways to better understand population or prey availability, educating local schools and groups about Otter ecology, or giving advice to landowners about the legal protection afforded to Otters, GLOWs aim is to ensure the Otter continues to thrive across the County.
At this stage, GLOW is a new venture so membership is free to residents of Gloucestershire.
How can I help Otters?
As a member of GLOW you can be as active or as passive as you like: Maybe you just want to show your support of Otters by joining us and learning a little along the way, equally, perhaps you want to get involved and take part in one of our bank side surveys? The choice is entirely yours. All types of members are good, whether you are lucky enough to be young, fit and active, or would prefer to support us from your armchair with a cuppa and a biscuit!
